What a great place to overnight. Every site has full hook-ups, a level gravel pad and a real decent amount of well maintained grassy space between each site. The interior roads are well maintained gravel and the young trees are growing nicely. The road leading to the entrance is a bit bumpy, so slow way down. There are no assigned sites; you select an empty site after check-in. Once you enter, beware of the massive speed bumps put there to remind everyone to slow down. I saw a children play set on the lawn near the office. Absolutely will overnight here again.

We chose this CG because it had an available spot, we were tired and the first CG we found was 100% occupied. It was clean, well maintained, the hook-ups were good and overall it was perfect for our overnight stay. A cheerful spot with a very nice staff. There is no reason not to use this CG when in the area.

This place has level gravel sites, good hook-ups, an adjacent golf course, a no-swimming pond and a play area for little ones. The entrance is tree lined. There are some newly planted trees scattered about. The campground is clean and the sites are spaced well enough apart that one isn't cramped. There is a fee for the shower - I guess this is a new trend - paying extra to take a shower. Golf seems to be the draw. All in all, a nice spot for a night or 2 when near Edmonton and by far the better of the 2 campgrounds we have visited while there. I would pick this one over the other and recommend the same.

There is no reason to choose this park over any other in the area. We were given a site that backed up to a very busy street and paralleled the tire store - perhaps the worst site in the park, and that is the reason I do not rate it higher. It is a short walk to downtown Drumheller over the bridge and a 3 mile taxi ride to the Royal Tyrell Museum - ($20 for the taxi!) The hook-ups were good and the badlands scenery was lovely except for the tire store. The staff was friendly. There is an adorable play area for the kids, mini-golf and the park is decorated with some old farm/mining equipment which is at least something to look at while walking to the dumpsters. All the CG's in the area are roughly the same and equally convenient to attractions so I can't recommend this one over others. It is just a good spot to park while visiting the area.

Immaculate and beautifully landscaped, it is a pleasure to stroll through the grounds. Gorgeous view of the mountains. The owners have paid a lot of attention to detail and it shows. I will stop here again and would recommend it to anyone.

If you enjoy being jammed together like canned sardines, on unlevel gravel sites, in a dust bowl with constant traffic where the only "views" are of your neighbors slide-outs and the ambience is that of a used RV lot, then this is the spot for you. This was the worst place we have been thus far. There are more cars and trucks than RV's and this is not a camping spot, but rather a parking lot atmosphere for seasonal dwellers. There is absolutely nothing enjoyable to do or see or experience here. If you want to take a shower, bring some loonies. You have to pay extra to shower. No BBQ grills. Site had no picnic table, which was fine since dining in dusty traffic wasn't on my agenda anyway. Pass this one by. It is horrible.

Nothing for older kids over to do, except the nearby water park which was packed with locals. Will not return as kids were bored and cranky and is the reason for the low rating.

Lovely spot. Very efficient and friendly staff. Woodsy, immaculate, level, gravel sites with full service pull-thrus, full hook-ups, picnic table, garbage container and fire pits. Lots of activities for kids, including an antique fire truck ride, playground, bike rentals, big pool, catch and release pond, basketball court, rec. room. Clean bathhouses and laundry facilities. Recycle bins. Nicely stocked convenience store. Firewood $6 a bundle. 15 minutes to express train to NYC. 1 hr ride, $32 round trip. Could not get satellite TV due to trees.

We had 50 amp service, so there was an addtional charge, I do not know what the rate for 30 amp or less will be. We drove in late at night, after the office was closed. There was a sign posted on the door which let us know which sites were still available. Luckily, the only pull-thru left was #30, right next to the office and laundry! The laundry room, rec.room, bath house are all immaculate. Our site had a great grass area in front. Some sites are paved, ours was gravel. There are some sites on the perimeter and they look small, however the big rigs are parked in the center for the most part. Full hook-ups including 50 amp! The nicest staff anywhere and a great shop for last minute gifts. I could not find any garbage cans, except one outside the laundry room door. Ask on check in to see what you are supposed to do with your trash. I would stay over again when passing through, but would not stay for more than 2 days.

This RV park is located at the foot of a hill, overlooking downtown Sturgis. The sites are level gravel pull-thrus with full hook-ups (50 amp too)at each site. Each site has a picnic table and a grassy area. On the evening of our arrival there were very few campers and deer were grazing on the grounds. It is a short 1/2 mile walk to the restaurants, etc. The CG is very quiet and immaculate. The showers were locked as was the laundry room, so I was not able to view them. The dry gulch in front of the CG can be a rattlesnake hide away, so do not go walking in it. (I was warned by a local of this). During the motorcycle rally week in early August, the weekly rate is $850 and up. However, if you are travelling and want a nice spot to stay for a day or more at any other time, this is a great CG. It is brand new, so I hear.

This campground was just plain fun. The sites are gravel and tend to get swampy in the rain. There are trees everywhere and the river front sites are definitely river front sites. We had lovely views from our coach. The sites are wide. There is a fishing pond, a great pool, clubhouse, bathhouse and one can access the river by going down the staircase in the rear of the grounds. There are some woody trails to explore with the kids and the staff is friendly. Many folks have their golf carts with them, pets are welcome and kids are having fun all over. Some folks are there full time, but not on the river front. It is a bit rustic and natural. We did not have DirectTV yet, and I noticed most people have stand alone satellite dishes. Be careful to turn left when exiting the CG; otherwise you will end up in a brick yard! I really liked this spot and only give it a 7 because of its rustic atmosphere which may not be to the likeing of some RVr's, and because it gets so messy when wet. If I recall correctly, there is 30 amp at each site. I will go back often because it is so laid back and natural. We were able to park a 42' MH on the river, although not many of those sites will allow it.

This RV park is brand new, immaculate and quiet. All sites are huge concrete pull-throughs with a big patio and even space for parking a toad. Full hook-ups, including 50 amp service at every site. New trees have been planted (one at each site) but they will not interfere with satellite reception. The interior roads are wide and BIG rig friendly. I think the entire park is fenced and there is a children's play area. The park is surrounded by trees. The staff could not be more accommodating. It is a 6 mile drive to Memphis. The entrance sign is hard to read at night. Look for a white concrete structure, perhaps 12 feet tall with what looks like a steeple on top, with a black sign and white lettering. It will be on the right after you exit the interstate about 1/4 - 1/2 mile down.

This park is absolutely gorgeous. It is located in the hills surrounding a most beautiful, fish filled lake. It is open from the May long weekend to the September long weekend. There is a marina where boats can be rented, a great home style restaurant/lounge and the scenery can not be beat. Although I posted that it is in Thompson,the fact is that Thompson is 27 km north of the park, but is the city closest to the park. When we arrived, the park was closed for the season, so we docked behind the lodge where the hunting outfitters are located. If you must boon dock, Thompson has a great dump station/water fill up across the street from the diesel/gas/propane station. It gets a 9 for beauty alone. But remember - it is in the woods and rustic.
